Description

Although nothing beats the sheer joy of bellowing "UNO!" or forcing your smarty-pants brother to draw four cards, developer Hotgen Studios has done a nice job of shrink-Paking this perennially popular card game. Basically a juiced-up version of Crazy Eights, UNO GBC pits you against one to three CPU-controlled players or, if you have a Game Link cable, a real rival. The idea is to match the color (red, yellow, blue or green) or value (0 through 9, plus specials) of the face-up card. If you can't, you have to draw a card from the face-down deck. Game-delaying animations, which can be turned off, show cards hopping, flipping and generally going bonkers when a special card is played The strategy pivots around a bevy of special cards, including Draw 2, All Draw 2, Swap Hands, Skip next player, Reverse direction, Wild Card and the UNO big kahuna, Wild Draw 4. The first player to run out of cards wins the hand
