Top Ten Most Anticipated PAX Games
It’s that time of the year again, where gamers and press converge upon the city of Seattle for PAX 2007 to play a gamut of games, take each other on in tournaments, and catch concerts by artists like Freezepop and Optimus Rhyme. I’ve compiled a list of games that I’m looking most forward to getting my hands on at this year’s PAX, and I would advise anyone to give them a look.

Mass Effect
One of my own personal most anticipated games for the year, Mass Effect from BioWare looks amazing, offers tons of gameplay opportunities, and boasts some great action-RPG elements. Sadly, while I’ve seen the game in motion, I’ve never gotten to control it for myself. I’m hoping PAX will change that, as I’ll hopefully get to try out the combat system and check out some more intriguing story elements.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
With all the kafuffle about Rock Band, it’s easy to forget about the pop-culture phenomenon that paved the way. However, to count Guitar Hero out this year would be a huge mistake, as the crew at Neversoft are bringing their A game, and making what could be the best entry ever to the series. Guitar Hero 3 will be a true next-gen entry with a huge song-list, wireless controls out of the box, and a bevy of brand new features. Here’s to hoping that more songs are announced at the show, and at the very least, I’ve gotta get my hands on that DragonForce track.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Another one of my most anticipated games this year, Call of Duty 4 is a refreshing take on the series, and if initial impressions are to be trusted, quite possibly the best entry in the series. I’ve spent some time on the multiplayer beta (more on that later on down the road), and if the single-player campaign is half as exciting and intense as the online component, then FPS fans are in for a huge treat.
